DESCRIPTION:Friday\, Dec. 12\n11 a.m. – 1 p.m.\nValley Community Presbyterian Church (VCPC) – 100 Lilac Drive N\, Golden Valley\, MN 55422 \nJoin JFCS Volunteers in Action for a hands-on group volunteer opportunity with our neighbors\, PRISM\, supporting their Holiday Toy Shoppe – a joyful program that helps local families maintain cherished holiday traditions. Parents can choose gifts for their children in a welcoming\, empowering environment. \nAs Group Preparation Volunteers\, we’ll work behind the scenes to make sure everything is ready for families ahead of PRISM’s main event (taking place on Saturday\, December 13). Tasks include organizing\, packing and preparing toys to create a smooth and festive experience. \nVolunteer Tasks May Include: \n\nSorting and inventorying toys by category and age group\nPacking and labeling toys for transport\nAssisting with moving/lifting toys during set-up and transfer days\n\nMinimum age: 16+ (younger volunteers welcome with close adult supervision) \nWhy Join? \n\nConnect with others and give back to your community\nReceive a free blue JFCS in Action T-shirt (if you don’t already have one!)\nMake a meaningful impact in just a couple of hours\nEnjoy the health and happiness benefits of volunteering\n\nRegistration is closed. \nAbout PRISM\nPRISM (People Responding in Social Ministry) is a local nonprofit serving community members in the areas of food\, clothing\, housing\, and children’s programs.
