Join Women Connect & Next Chapter for an opportunity to experience Forest Bathing in a guided outdoor session designed to help you restore balance and connect with nature. Forest Bathing, also known as Shinrin-yoku, is the Japanese practice of slowing down and mindfully immersing yourself in nature through using all the senses. Rather than focusing on hiking, exercise, or reaching a destination, forest bathing encourages participants to slow down, pause, observe their surroundings, and connect with the natural environment in an intentional way.

Research has shown that spending mindful time in nature can help reduce stress, lower blood pressure, improve mood, increase focus, and promote an overall sense of well-being. Many people find that forest bathing helps them feel more grounded, in the moment, and mentally refreshed. It provides an opportunity to unplug from daily distractions and reconnect with the more-than-human world.

This will be a two-hour event that includes time for tea foraged from native plants, light snacks, and conversation at the end. No special experience or fitness level is required. Simply come prepared to slow down and enjoy the experience. Please dress for the weather as the event will be held rain or shine. In case of inclement weather (thunder & lightning), registrants will be notified ahead of time and the event rescheduled for a later date.
