Volunteer Opportunity: Summer Produce Distribution Groups
What: JFCS is teaming up with PRISM for another Volunteers in Action event to help local families access nutritious food while supporting a program rooted in dignity, connection, and empowerment.
PRISM’s Fresh Produce Distribution provides fresh, healthy produce to more than 200 families in the community. The event takes place in an indoor, farmer’s market-style setting where community members can select fresh fruits and vegetables in a welcoming environment. The distribution is open to everyone in the community, with no zip code, residency, or income requirements.
As a group, we will support all aspects of the event, from set-up through cleanup, while helping create a welcoming experience for participants.
