Grandparents often play an important role in caring for their grandchildren. Join us for an informative and practical introduction to infant and child CPR, choking prevention, and emergency response.
This session is designed for grandparents who are new to CPR, as well as those who would like a refresher on current recommendations and best practices. Participants will learn how to recognize choking emergencies, understand the basics of responding to breathing and cardiac emergencies in infants and children, and gain confidence in knowing what to do until professional help arrives.
Please note: This is an educational overview and refresher session. It is not a certification course, and participants will not receive CPR certification.
In addition to learning together, we’ll enjoy time connecting with fellow grandparents, sharing experiences, building community, and enjoying a sweet treat together. By embracing the Jewish value of Pikuach Nefesh (saving a life), gain new resources and relationships with the JFCS Jewish Grandparent Community.
Whether you’re caring for grandchildren regularly or occasionally, this program will provide valuable information, meaningful connections, and practical tools to help keep the children in your life safe.
Open to all grandparents and grandparents-to-be.
